Built Strong Athletics is Okotoks first exclusive athletic training facility. Also specializing in one on one personal training for all levels. Including injury rehabilitation and functional movement assessments. Built Strong Athletics trains a wide range of populations in health and fitness but our primary focus is to offer our young athletes the best training service possible.
OUR APPROACH
All our athletes are trained through a functional systematic approach. All our athletes are put through a mandatory functional assessment and movement screen concentrating on muscle activation and functional movements.
This allows our head trainer to build a program that will meet the needs and goals of the individual athletes and the team.
We use a periodization training system that is built around the initial assessment and moves through, building and re stimulating muscle fibers, movement patterns, balance, strength, agility, speed, power, endurance and over all athletic capabilities and sport specific training.
A detailed prescription and plan will be given to coaches following initial assessments. Ongoing report cards and progress will be discussed and given to athletes and coaches including fitness testing.
In addition we also provide the expertise of nutritional planning. We believe that nutrition plays a major role in developing athletes and with our knowledge and nutritionists we are able to do meal plans or give nutrition advice as well as recommend supplements that will improve athletic performance.
Built Strong Athletics believes in delivering athletes a professional collaborative action plans that deliver results. We commence all programs with foundation training and systematically progress the athletes as they are capable. Our periodization training has proven to be extremely effective pushing or athletes to their limits in a safe controlled program. Training progressions will include stretching, rolling techniques, muscle activation with a strong emphasis on core, mobility, movement preparation, plyometric training, neurological response, speed training, strength training and conditioning.
Younger athletes are more than welcome to train within our facility and this is greatly encouraged. They will be trained in the same manner from functional movements and systematically periodization program involving all aspects of training the main difference is all strength training is done with body weight.
Built Strong Athletics is a 4000 square foot state of the art training facility. This space includes a beautiful lobby for parents and coaches to meet, 1250 sq. ft. weight room, 1600 sq. ft. turf space and a Blazing Thunder skating treadmill. By partnering with MPH and their incredible hockey coaching knowledge we feel we can provide your association with a one of a kind service.
The Built Strong staff are also able to facilitate dryland training in different locations. We are able to program unique engaging systems to enhance overall strength, agility, speed, power, and endurance..
