Sport Injuries - Correction of strains (muscle tears) and sprains (ligament and soft tissue tears). Strains and sprains occur when a joint has been extended past its normal range of motion. In such a case, the bones forming the joint often become misaligned. When the chiropractor realigns the bones back into their proper place, the tension/stress is removed from the ligaments, tendons, muscles and surrounding soft tissue. This decreases the swelling and inflammation and allows for proper healing.
