Provincially Funded dTap Vaccine for Pregnant Women. Now Available at IDA Crystalridge Pharmacy - Okotoks.Over the past 10 years in Alberta, there have been approximately 60 cases of pertussis (also known as whooping cough) in infants less than two months of age. In three of those cases, the infant died.Because of this, the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) and the Alberta Advisory Committee on Immunization (AACI) have recommended pregnant women be immunized with the dTap vaccine during every pregnancy.... more
